My Favourites This Month, July ‘23
Hi, friend.
In the previous month, I shared some of my favourite things and plan to keep doing so every month. I hope that by sharing them, you'll find some inspiration for yourself.

Since moving into my rented apartment with my new husband two years ago, I've acquired more possessions than I had before. As someone who used to be constantly on the go and didn't own many things, having so much stuff is a new experience, and lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed by all the items I've accumulated so far. I've decided to gradually declutter my home by removing 3 items daily to alleviate this feeling. I keep a box in my living room and donate it once it's full. I repeat this process until I'm satisfied with the amount of possessions I have. If you're also considering decluttering, this list of 52 things to get rid my be a helpful start.
If you ever wonder why I'm not consistent with my Instagram, this article is my answer. After reading it, I spend as little time as possible on this platform. Not surprisingly, I have recently found myself spending time watching YouTube shorts. Happily, I came across a helpful browser extension called Unhooked that has dramatically improved my experience on this platform. The extension hides distracting elements such as YouTube's suggested videos, shorts tab, and homepage. It has helped me become more mindful of the impact of YouTube's recommended videos feature, which I had previously found myself getting lost in. Thanks to Unhooked, I have been able to save time and stay focused on more important tasks.
During the pandemic, I have experienced a significant loss of my ability to focus deeply and feel distracted even when performing simple tasks, let alone studying! I hope that this app will help me take a small step toward regaining my ability to concentrate. I'm starting small by dedicating just 15 minutes at a time to focusing, and I've found it really satisfying to plant trees as a way to track my progress when it comes to studying, reading a book, or even cleaning.
I am eager to hear about your favourite thing this month in the comments section below.
